What an amazing Summer

We’ve had the most amazing summer since the ITV series Harbour Lives aired and Pete and Storm were featured, the phone hasn’t stopped ringing.

If you missed it, you can .

Thank you to all our new customers who have found us and our existing customers who have stuck with us – we appreciate it.  We’ve had the business since 1999 and it’s been a tough few years recently and so it is genuinely good to feel the buzz of the old days and to hear the wonderful feedback about the food and ambience that is the family business we have created at Storm.

It has not been without it’s challenges – we have had to employ a whole raft of new talent to our team including front of house and chefs.  We have managed to find some wonderful people who have each brought with them their own special uniqueness which helps Storm to continue to evolve.

A few things have changed – as we have been so busy we have had to stop opening for lunch apart from Saturdays and just concentrate on opening for the evenings in order that we can continue to offer the same high standard of freshly caught and cooked produce.

We have started to get enquiries regarding Christmas bookings.  We normally put together a Christmas and New Year’s Eve Menu during September and will post this on the website for you all.

Recently Pete has been busy building and furnishing the new bar, The Cruel Sea in Penn Hill – which will open beginning of October 2013.  The new bar will be a mixture of a bar, tapas style food and there will be an opportunity during the day to buy fresh fish and shellfish directly from us from this location.

I am back working on a Saturday night which I am loving, although I really feel it the next day, not as young as I used to be.  It’s great to see some of the old faces and meet the new ones.  So if you come in on Saturday, please say hello to me…

Frances

Pete and Storm are featured on Harbour Lives ITV

We are really excited to be featured on ITV’s new show coming in June, Harbour Lives hosted by Ben Fogle……here’s what they say about it…

With mansions valued at £15 million, a harbour full of super yachts and lifeguards perched in California-style beach huts, Sandbanks seems more like Palm Beach than a typical English harbour. But while some may favour the flashy new homes and fancy speed boats, there is another more traditional side to the harbour, characterised by colourful fishing boats, white chalk cliffs and quaint villages with cobbled streets and crooked buildings. In a story of contrasting realities, ITV delve beneath the surface of one of the most expensive real estate locations on the planet, to discover just who and what goes on in this most seductive and charming of harbours.
